The shop and the website keep separate records. Stock sold online is still on the shelf, takings are counted at close of day, and when the internet drops, the counter stops and customers leave.
Retailers with one branch or several, selling in person, online, or both, who need one truth about stock and sales and cannot afford a counter that stops.
What we build
Point of sale, storefronts, checkout, delivery and loyalty on a single record of stock and sales, with payments for the markets you sell in.
Storefronts, checkout, delivery, loyalty, and point-of-sale applications that share stock and sales records, with payments integrated for the markets you sell in.
- Offline-first multi-branch POS
- Storefronts and checkout
- Delivery tracking
- Loyalty and promotions
This is also a product we run: Counterbase.
- Discover
- We sit at the counter through a full trading day first. The exceptions, split payments, returns, the network dropping, are the real requirements.
- Design
- Branches, devices, users and roles are modelled up front, so a cashier, a supervisor and an owner see different things and none of them can overreach.
- Build
- You test on staging with your own product shapes and pricing rules, including offline selling, before anything touches the shop floor.
- Launch
- Existing stock and price lists are imported with tested scripts, staff are trained at the till, and the cutover is rehearsed with a rollback plan.
- Operate
- Retail cannot wait for Monday. Monitoring, backups and a support channel cover trading hours, and new features follow a roadmap.
Seen in our work
Multi-branch POS · Live
Retailers with several branches lose sales when the internet drops and cannot see stock and takings across branches. Counterbase keeps every branch selling offline and syncs automatically when the connection returns.

The business sold online and in store from separate records, so stock, sales, and loyalty lived in different places. We built one system: an online storefront with checkout and delivery tracking, a point-of-sale module, and a loyalty program, updated in real time.

Common questions
What happens when the internet goes down?
Selling continues. Our own point-of-sale product, Counterbase, is offline-first: sales queue on the device and sync automatically when the connection returns. It exists because we kept meeting retailers who lost selling hours to outages.
Can you take M-Pesa and card payments?
Yes. We have integrated M-Pesa through Daraja, plus PesaPal, Paystack and Stripe across our projects. Counterbase also takes NFC payments from tourists.
We have several branches. Does stock stay accurate?
Counterbase models organizations with branches, devices and users, with branch-level inventory and inter-branch transfers, so each branch sees its own stock and the owner sees all of it.
Can the online shop and the till share one stock record?
That is the point of this service line. The storefront and loyalty system we built for Nawiri Hair runs an online catalog, checkout and a point-of-sale module against shared records.
Do you build the website too?
Yes. Storefronts and checkout are part of this line, and they share the same data as the till, so an item sold in either place is gone from both.
Put the till and the website on one record.
A short conversation is enough to scope a first phase.
